Raise your glasses! The old year deserves a proper farewell, and at the same time, we look hopefully and joyfully over the year’s edge into 2026. Cheers to the New Year at Saziani!

They say celebrations should be enjoyed as they come, and since New Year’s Eve famously falls on December 31st and New Year’s Day on January 1st, we eagerly follow the spirit of the season and warmly invite you to our holiday trilogy of wine, dance, and song. And because all good things come in threes, it runs from December 30, 2025, to January 1, 2026.

Our motto for the year’s end is ‘Go big or go home’, for once, the life-life balance can take a backseat! We’ve planned a special program to make sure no palate goes dry and no stomach growls as the calendar turns. To prevent any mishaps during the famous New Year’s slide, we even have a dress rehearsal on December 30, the so-called Farmers’ New Year’s Eve, and we’ll wrap it all up with a refined New Year’s concert breakfast, complete with whipped cream and a cherry on top.

Three times three equals six for the taste buds, at least according to our petits fours. 😉

In the interest of brevity, here are just a few highlights of our celebratory days; the full program can be found further below as a PDF download:

On December 30, it’s Farmers’ New Year’s Eve and arrival day. After a warm welcome, we’ll visit winemaker Edi Tropper, including a vineyard tour and a final treat of roasted chestnuts and mulled wine. The perfect finale to the day comes in the shape of a 5-course menu in the restaurant, as always prepared and served by the Saziani team led by Ruth Heusch and Christoph Mandl.

After this delightful start, on December 31, following breakfast at the Saziani Restaurant, the afternoon continues with an extensive tasting at the winery with Christoph Neumeister. Special vineyard wines from the 2013 and 2023 vintages can be sampled and discussed in detail.

After some relaxing hours, the highlight awaits at the restaurant: the 7-course New Year’s Eve menu, accompanied by wines from the Saziani cellar. Any notes the menu doesn’t cover will be played on the record player by David Dressler. And since the evening is still young at midnight, the old year will be swapped for the new with the ringing of the bells, naturally accompanied by champagne and a “waltz for all” on our terrace!

Between 9 and 11 a.m., any lingering New Year’s Eve fatigue can be banished with a served breakfast, accompanied by the world-famous strains of the Vienna Philharmonic’s New Year’s Concert. And it’s the perfect moment to jot down your resolutions for 2026 – perhaps even on the napkin!
